Position Summary
Holton-Arms seeks a Marketing and Communications Specialist to join the School’s marketing and communications team. The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced, collaborative, and supportive environment with room for professional growth. This role offers opportunities to expand skills in digital strategy, brand development, and data-informed storytelling.
Primary responsibilities include social media management, school-wide photography, digital strategy, graphic design, and website management. The Communications Specialist will execute tactics that support Holton’s broader marketing and communications strategy. This role plays a key part in telling the story of Holton’s mission in action and elevating student voice, experience, and achievement.
The ideal candidate will be well-versed in social media platforms and digital content and strategies; have a strong background in photography and graphic design; and possess excellent organizational skills. This role will work closely with the Director of Marketing and Communications, members of the marketing and communications team, and departments across campus, particularly admissions and development.
The Specialist will help bring to life the School’s Portrait of a Graduate through compelling and mission-aligned storytelling.
Responsibilities
- Manage Holton’s social media channels to reflect campus life and align with the School’s values and brand
- Develop and execute a social media plan to maximize reach and engagement with key audiences
- Serve as the primary photographer for campus events
- Maintain and update the School’s website, ensuring consistency in messaging and branding
- Support the School’s digital strategy and advertising efforts
- Assist with graphic design for multiple areas of the School
- Monitor and analyze performance using Google Analytics and social media metrics
- Create compelling written, visual and digital content that advances Holton’s narrative and highlights the student experience
- Partner with faculty and staff across divisions to identify, develop, and amplify stories across the School
- Serve as a trusted communications partner to departments across campus
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree required, ideally in communications, marketing, design, or a related field
- Minimum of two years of relevant work experience
- Strong working knowledge of social media strategies and experience managing multiple platforms
- Excellent photography skills, video experience a plus
- Strong understanding of website management and content creation
- Graphic design experience
- Experience with platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, and LinkedIn
- Familiarity with tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, and website content management systems (e.g., Finalsite or similar)
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills

Compensation and Benefits
The salary range for this position is $70,000 to $80,000, based on educational background and professional experience.
