The SDSS Sustainability Accelerator (the Sustainability Accelerator) serves as a launchpad for sustainability solutions, turning innovative ideas into transformative and scalable technologies and policies that will substantially improve the quality of human life and our planet. The Sustainability Accelerator is rooted in the Stanford Doerr School of Sustainability and works across the University and with external partners to drive solutions from the lab into the world.

The Accelerator seeks a candidate with experience in developing and implementing marketing initiatives that enable programs, services, and events. We are looking for a thoughtful and execution-oriented professional who can translate complex programmatic work into clear, compelling messaging across a range of audiences and channels. The ideal candidate brings strong project management and organizational skills, an eye for detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. They should be comfortable working across teams, building relationships with internal and external partners, and leveraging data and feedback to continuously refine and improve marketing efforts.

Your Responsibilities will include:

• Recommend and execute marketing strategies to meet and strategic business objectives.
  
• Collaborate with other communications professionals at Stanford to leverage content and coordinate strategies.
  
• Develop and maintain communications activities and channels with Stanford colleagues.
  
• Develop content strategy for Accelerator events.
  
• Maintain accurate and compelling content on Accelerator website and social media accounts.
  
• Manage marketing plans/programs to meet business objectives, including collaboration with internal stakeholders and vendor partners.
  
• Work with the Accelerator team and project teams to write, edit and schedule select marketing communications. Implement integrated marketing communications and brand strategy, across a variety of channels (i.e., digital and print).
  
• Oversee design and production of marketing materials from inception to deployment.
  
• Conduct market research, including competitive benchmarking, and analyze campaign/program/ service/event effectiveness used to inform the Accelerator's decisions regarding strategic marketing direction, product segmentation and customer targeting.
  
• Assess market opportunities and track market trends. Recommend marketing improvements based on findings.
  
• Plan and execute events to support strategic objectives.
  
• Manage vendors/consultants on specific projects.
  
• Manage project/program budget(s) and coordinate invoice processing.
  
• May oversee interns and other contingent staff; provide staff training.
