Responsible for the development and implementation of communication and marketing efforts through creating content for and managing internal and external communications channels, producing and managing a wide range of digital and print communications and managing marketing of the educational, research, community outreach and clinical programs for the College of Education. Responsibilities also include continuous review and improvement of communication and marketing strategies based on industry best practices and data. 1. Communications *Advancing the College’s communications strategy, message and brand across local, state, national and global communications, both print and digital *Develop and apply various communication strategies to create an impression, raise awareness and encourage a preference and response by the target audience for the organization and its products, services and brands *Create original content across a variety of platforms, including current and emerging channels, both print and digital *Engage with key media outlets, both proactively and reactively, to generate high quality, high impact media coverage at local, state and national levels *Proactively identifying strategic communication opportunities with internal and external partners *Design and implement a stakeholder communications strategy to share the College’s work with key stakeholders including funders, school leadership, community partners and policymakers *Design and manage the College's print (e.g., brochures, newsletters) and digital communication assets (e.g., email, social media, the website) *Develop and maintain standards and templates for print and digital materials to ensure consistency in messaging and branding *Develop and implement communications that are culturally responsive and reflective of inclusive perspectives *Engage in communications development and review in the context of equity, accessibility, inclusion and universal design *Develop benchmark criteria to track and evaluate the effectiveness of the communications strategies on a regular basis
2. Marketing *Implement a strategic marketing plan in alignment with the College’s mission, vision and strategic plan that includes print, audio, radio, social media and digital advertising *Strategically design and implement all digital marketing initiatives *Build, manage and optimize digital marketing content *Plan, develop, execute and optimize digital ad campaigns to drive engagement *Ensure that content and creatives for digital campaigns are in accordance with the College's brand, visual and copy standards *Utilize digital channels to execute marketing and lead generation campaigns *Manage day-to-day scheduling and posting on all social platforms *Recommend and oversee website changes to support tracking, optimization and conversion goals of digital campaigns *Perform regular digital marketing audits, making recommendations for optimizing traffic, engagement, clicks, conversions and keyword research and analysis *Provide monthly and quarterly reports on paid ads, website traffic and social engagement
3. Collaboration and Support *Collaborate with the Associate Director of Admissions, Recruiting and Graduate Programs to design, develop and execute marketing initiatives to support the recruitment and enrollment *Support the Associate Deans of Graduate Studies and Research in all aspects of internal and external communications and marketing *Work with the College of Education Business Manager to prepare and maintain an annual Communications and Marketing budget *Work closely with Library & Technology Services (LTS) to enhance website functionality *Collaborate across campus constituents to manage various internal and external College communications

Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations or related field; Master's degree in Marketing, Communications or Public Relations preferred
Five to eight years related work experience
Supervisor experience preferred
Holistic understanding of all aspects of communications, positioning and messaging, including industry best practices in both traditional and emerging media platforms and experience
Excellent communication, interpersonal skills and a high level of customer service required
Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, results-oriented, collaborative team environment
Ability to effectively analyze data, create reports, and develop recommendations based on data
Proven ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and a high degree of initiative for bringing tasks to completion
Ability to build, foster and maintain positive professional relationships
Excellent organizational skills, time management and sound judgment
Excellent computer skills with experience using word processing, spreadsheet, database and presentation software
