Content Marketing Specialist The primary purpose of this role is to lead marketing execution support across various content marketing functions. This includes helping to create and execute strategies to promote educational assets and events, lead and participate in cross department content initiatives and drive content management for sales enablement. This role is also responsible measuring content effectiveness with our Data Analytics team. This role will report to the Head of the Education team within the Marketing department.
Create and execute marketing strategy and plan to promote educational resources to external audiences; includes, but not limited to, promoting the whole of the resources CME offers, specific marketing to target audiences while leveraging paid programmatic, CME digital assets and content placements via third party channel networks, A/B testing
Lead multi-channel promotion of educational events to maximize participation and lead generation
Manage production schedule and promote individual assets such as webinars, educational videos, case studies and courses; including content management of the cmegroup.com/education home page
Develop internal marketing plan for employee awareness of educational resources
Write and distribute monthly newsletter
Work with the Events, Marketing Automation and Analytics team to execute events
Content Marketing and Distribution
Support cross department content initiatives around cross-business themes and topics
Lead working groups on identified key themes to align content producing teams, develop focused content and market in coordination with marketing managers
Manage editorial calendar
Execute third party content distribution strategy
Measure success of engagement of each channel and track leads
Content Marketing for Sales Enablement
Support strategy to find the best ways to deliver the right content and insights to sales to make it easier for them to engage with and sell to clients
Work across teams to identify content needs and establish a process for updating key content
Work with analytics to bring in web insights to the SE portal and customize sales experience with this recommended content and behavioral insights on clients
Create channel enablement portal for specified clients
Support roll-out and training of the new tool for sales
Support sales training programs by partnering with sales operations and Edu team to identify content needs
Reporting and Analytics
Evaluate marketing effectiveness to determine highest value initiatives
Work with the marketing analytics team to create dashboards or other methods to see data on marketing tactics
Analyze metrics to understand if goals were met, what we learned and what drove high quality leads and engagements
Work with customer marketing team to track education driven leads across the lead funnel
Communicate insights consistently with stakeholders on respective projects; support quarterly educational report
Experience in supporting and validating strategic and tactical marketing objectives such as analyzing online marketing campaigns including: natural and paid search, email, affiliate, display and social
Strong communication, collaboration writing, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office skills in Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
High level of independence, energy and strong project management skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Financial markets experience strongly preferred
