POSITION OVERVIEW / JOB Summary                                                

This position is responsible for both business-to-business (Investors, Tenants, Government Agencies) and business-to-consumer marketing initiatives (property level) for MCB commercial office, industrial, mixed-use, and retail spaces.  Responsibilities cross all business areas of MCB Real Estate,  and multiple assets classes including malls, open air shopping centers, mixed use projects, office, retail, industrial, residential and hospitality. .

JOB ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Collaborate with Senior Management, Leasing, Asset Management, Accounting, Acquisitions, Property Management, Construction & Development, and Management Teams to create and execute company wide and property specific marketing initiatives.

        Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Oversee, the creation and editing of all in-house leasing collateral, e.g., leasing/marketing brochures, leasing signage, leasing e-mail blasts, property-level site plans
  • Content generation, management, and updates for all websites and social media channels for MCB Real Estate and property-specific
  • Work directly with individual tenants and their corporate marketing teams to increase traffic, neighborhood connectivity, sales, highlight promotions, hiring and seasonal events
  • Create and manage the Eastpoint Mall marketing program and schedule
  • Community and Seasonal Events:
    • With specific focus on Eastpoint Mall – Community events, Santa Claus, Easter Bunny, Bingo, and other similar events
    • MCB-wide and property-specific groundbreaking events, sponsorship events, fundraisers and other similar events
  • Manage and mentor marketing team staff and interns
  • Work with MCB Asset Managers to develop and manage marketing department annual and project budgets.  Maximizing the marketing budget through sponsorships, trade-outs, partnership marketing and tenant involvement
  • Assessment and reporting on results of marketing activities

Public Relations

  • Develop and distribute press releases highlighting company transactions, new leases, new hires, etc.
  • Nominate MCB and property specific projects for local, regional, and national awards
  • Communicate effectively with government agencies and community groups.
  • Archive and distribute all important and relevant MCB news and articles to internal staff
  • Organize special events, such as grand openings, ground breakings, etc.
  • Attendance and participation in civic and community organizations such as the Chamber of Commerce or industry groups

Special Presentations and Projects

  • Create Investor, Community Relation Meetings, and Tenant or Property Specific PowerPoint and PDF presentations and brochures
  • Create Request for Information and Request for Proposals Brochures

KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS/ABILITIES

  • Minimum 5-years’ related work experience preferably in shopping centers, retail, and/or commercial real estate
  • MAC and PC proficiency; proficiency with Microsoft Office software suite, including extensive MS Word and PowerPoint; ADOBE Creative Suite including Photoshop and/or InDesign; WordPress and other web design and management platforms
  • Proficiency with optimization of and marketing integration using social media platforms including LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Twitter, TikTok
  • Good working knowledge of traditional advertising strategies, including but not limited to print, signage, direct mail, billboard, television, radio, and newspaper.
  • Good working knowledge of website functionality and strategy, branding, content generation and management;
  • Skilled at creatively developing general and targeted multi-media marketing campaigns based on product, presentation and customer demographics
  • Working knowledge preferred with any leasing/demographic software; e.g., SitesUSA/Regis Online, Retail Lease Track
  • Effective oral and written communication skills; excellent accuracy/proofreading and attention to detail in all work product.
  • Proficiency and consistency with prioritizing workload, multi-tasking, working independently and meeting work deadlines.
  • Relationships or ability to develop relationships with 3rd party vendors for marketing signage, event planning etc.

Education Requirements:

Minimum Bachelor’s degree with Marketing or Communications focus; Masters’ degree preferred. Equivalent combination of education and years of related business experience may be considered.
