Job DescriptionThe Director of Marketing and Communications provides college-wide leadership in researching, developing, and monitoring integrated marketing and communications strategies for internal and external audiences. This includes enrollment marketing, increasing the College's brand awareness in area communities and maintaining the College's website. This position requires significant discretion with sensitive issues and involvement in the development, analysis, and implementation of complex work with campus-wide impacts. The director manages the bookstore and studio coordinators, vendors and projects and provides leadership and advisement to college administration, staff, and faculty in public relations, advertising and marketing planning initiatives to promote the college as a leader in tribal and state higher education. The Director of Marketing and communications Relations reports to the President's Office.Salary Range: $35.38 - $51.28 hourly; $73,873 - $107,073 annuallyMinimum QualificationsBachelor's degree in a marketing program, business administration, or related field plus a minimum of three years of direct experience; or an equivalent amount of education and applicable professional work experience.Strong writing and editing skills in multiple formats including social media, websites, etc.Strong interpersonal and human relations skills to work collaboratively and deal effectively with individuals and constituencies with diverse perspectives and interests and to develop effective working relationships with individuals at all levels within the college and with outside organizations.Ability to work irregular schedules, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, etc.Preferred QualificationMaster's degree in related field.Experience working in higher education.Experience working with tribal media representatives.Understanding of government affairs in the legislative process.Knowledge of US Department of Education rules and regulations, the Family Educational Rights to Privacy Act (FERPA), and the Minnesota Government Data Practices Act (MGDPA)Experience working with Native American students or others with diverse backgrounds.Experience preparing and monitoring budgets; familiar with standard operating practicesMust possess knowledge of current technology as related to marketing and social media trends and the ability and desire to learn emerging technology.Able to analyze, understand, and interpret research data related to marketing, advertising, and student enrollment.Supervisory experience.Other RequirementsWork Shift (Hours / Days of work) Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 4:30 pm (hours may vary).Telework (No) - Telework is not availableAboutThe mission of Fond du Lac Tribal and Community College is to provide higher education opportunities for its communities in a welcoming, culturally diverse environment.To achieve this mission, we will:Promote scholarship and academic excellence through transfer and career education and provide access to higher education by offering developmental education.Respectfully promote the language, culture, and history of the Anishinaabeg.Provide programs which will celebrate the cultural diversity of our community and promote global understanding.Promote a sense of personal respect and wellness.Provide technological opportunities and experiences, preparing students for the future.Provide programs and baccalaureate degrees that fulfill our commitment to American Indian communities, our land grant status, and the union of cultures.Vision StatementFond du lac Tribal and Community College offers a postsecondary education to honor the past, for those living in the present and dreaming the future, through a spirit of respect, cooperation, and unity.Core Values During 2013 and 2014, Fond du Lac Tribal and Community College identified five core values to be used as guiding principles on campus.
