The Paulding Northwest Atlanta Airport is Georgia’s newest jet-capable Airport. The Airport opened in 2008 in western Paulding County, one of the fastest-growing counties in Georgia. The Airport’s infrastructure includes a 5,505-foot grooved concrete runway complete with ILS and GPS approaches. Additionally, the Airport’s modern terminal building hosts several aviation businesses and is home to many community events. The Airport’s tenants include three flight schools, two aircraft maintenance companies, the Museum of Flight, and a recently completed state-of-the-art Airframe & Powerplant technical school. Despite being in its nascent years, the Airport has experienced tremendous growth. The Airport recently saw the opening of the Aviation Training Academy, two 10-bay t-hangars, as well as several box hangars. The Airport is getting ready to construct the first phase of its corporate hangar campus.
