The Division of Career Pathways (DCP) Marketing Specialist provides project management and creative talent to develop and implement all aspects of marketing communications that promote DCP services, events, and brand to all constituents, including students, alumni, employers, campus departments, faculty, and administrators. The Marketing Specialist is responsible for marketing planning, creative execution, tactical implementation, promotion scheduling, and evaluation of marketing effectiveness. Working with appropriate software, the incumbent designs, produces and delivers digital and print campaigns or materials that result in increased participation across all services and programs produced by DCP. Leads DCP Marketing Group and supervises DCP student marketing staff. Coordinates with various campus stakeholders and external vendors to ensure accurate and timely content and delivery of projects within budget. Translates data or information into dynamic promotional or presentation materials that engage a wide audience. Actively seeks out and implements emerging and best marketing strategies to increase DCP's impact and effectiveness.
Compensation Range:
$23.47 - $34.24

Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training.
Proven experience in a professional marketing role. Possess knowledge of DCP's services and target markets. Solid knowledge of marketing mediums, communication principles, and marketing techniques. Ability to work as a lead person in developing and implementing marketing strategies involving numerous collaborative arrangements with professional colleagues. Organization and project management skills. Strong understanding of current online marketing concepts, strategy, and best practice. Online and print marketing collateral development experience, including graphic design and copywriting. Extensive knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite or related software. Ability to relate complex concepts, themes, and ideas into written word in a clear, concise, and understandable language. Experience in managing and updating web content using systems such as WordPress. Ability to work effectively work with web developers. Experience in managing and updating multiple social media channels using automation tools. Demonstrated ability to evaluate and assess effectiveness and impact of marketing campaigns and tools.
Preferred:
University career services experience. Demonstrated knowledge of career development resources and early career hiring practices. Extensive experience using WordPress and related APIs. Video production and editing experience. Experience with or understanding of career services management platforms that serve as key communication tools with students and employers (Handshake).
