Gilbane, a dynamic, family-owned company, is searching for a strategic, creative, and editorially-savvy individual in the Chicago, Illinois area who will work with our local business development teams and our global marketing team. We recently committed to generating $4 billion in awards to certified minority, women-owned, disadvantaged, and veteran-owned businesses over the next five years.
This position is connected with our operations located in Milwaukee, Detroit, Indianapolis, Cleveland, Columbus, and Pittsburgh and will interface with professionals across the globe. The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of experience and is looking for a position to challenge their critical thinking and creative skillsets.

Once here, you will:
- Participate in the creative execution and production of sales deliverables and RFQ/P responses.
- Develop an ability to tell stories: stories about clients, projects, people, and Gilbane, and incorporate these stories into graphics and written narratives within proposals that address the unique needs of each client.
- Assist with the planning and implementation of local events, industry award submissions, and marketing campaigns to support Gilbane’s brand in the local market.
- Collect, organize and maintain dynamic data for projects, team members, and market sectors.
- Edit, resize, and touchup images and photography for print and digital use.
- Assist in client research. The right candidate will naturally be curious about the “why” and “how” of our work, and they will jump at the chance to translate that information into winning sales strategies.
- Develop a strong understanding of, and interest in, engaging in the communities in which we live and work.

Qualifications
Education: 1-3 years of marketing and sales support experience at an AEC firm, preferably, and a BA/BS degree (required).

- Be accountable and comfortable rolling up your sleeves. You are curious, highly organized with strong attention to detail, and thrive on accomplishing great things.
- Foster relationships and work collaboratively with teams across the company, virtually and in person, to produce high-quality print and digital materials that reinforce Gilbane’s brand. Critical and creative thinking, effective communication, agility/adaptability, and working independently are essential.
- Have strong written capabilities and is able to tell a story, bringing technical data to life.
- Demonstrate intermediate proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud with a focus on InDesign and Photoshop, and Microsoft Office Suite, with a focus on Word and PowerPoint.
- Demonstrate strong time management and planning skills and should excel in a high volume, deadline-driven environment where you will engage in multiple deliverables simultaneously.
