Reporting to the Director of Marketing and Communications, the Assistant Director provides input and support for the development and execution of the university's integrated marketing communication plan, manages marketing projects for clients from start to finish and collaborates with partners both on and off-campus in support of Ashland University's strategic enrollment goals and strategies.
Coordinate with marketing team members, clients and vendors, manage timelines and provide high-quality deliverables for the successful completion of all marketing/media projects.
Support the director by providing input and support for the development and maintenance of Ashland University's integrated marketing communication and strategic enrollment plans.
Assist in gathering content, input and approvals for marketing projects.
Ensure that materials produced by the department follow university brand standards.
Provide consistent and timely follow-up with clients and daily project updates to appropriate partners and team members.
Lead the marketing and communications team in the absence of the director.
Monitor, document and report departmental project statuses.
Track project and departmental budgets.
Supervise staff and student workers as needed.

Bachelor's degree in a related field
Three (3) years of experience on a marketing and communications team, including project management
Developing marketing and media plans
Implementing marketing, communications and media tactics
Working with project management processes and systems
Managing projects, solving problems and multitasking
Organizing complex information
Gathering and articulating information needed for the implementation of marketing and communication materials
Moving projects to completion quickly
Maintaining a high customer focus
