Job Summary:
Reporting to the Associate Provost for Enrollment Partnerships, the Associate Director of Marketing, Recruitment, and External Partnerships for the College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences is responsible for developing and maintaining external partnerships to market and recruit undergraduate and graduate students to the College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences. Working closely with colleagues in undergraduate and graduate admission, the College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, and Enrollment Management, the Associate Director will be responsible for managing the integration of marketing communications for prospective students in addition to student recruitment and application review.
Essential Functions:
Develop and maintain relationships with external partners and feeder institutions with a focus on undergraduate and graduate enrollment in the College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences.
Identify competitive markets and trends to support CPHS enrollment objectives.
Collaborate with Enrollment Management, Deans, department chairs, and program coordinators to develop and execute a strategic marketing plan for CPHS recruitment. This includes but is not limited to print communications, electronic communications, and social media.
Research and develop opportunities for enhanced branding opportunities for CPHS through SEO, SEM, etc
Support students through the CPHS admission process, including application review for CPHS undergraduate and graduate students.
Work with the Director of Enrollment Management Events and CPHS to develop strategic on and off campus recruitment events for CPHS.
Other duties as assigned.
Competencies:
A Bachelor's degree or equivalent is required; a Master's degree is preferred.
A valid driver's license is required.
5-7 years relevant experience in admission, enrollment management, or higher education marketing is required.
Experience in higher education is preferred.
Excellent analytical, communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills required.
Understanding of discretion related to handling confidential information is required.
Flexibility to work occasional evenings, mornings, and weekends is required.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Technolutions Slate, and Ellucian Banner is preferred.
Ability to multi-task and manage multiple priorities with short notice and changing deadlines is preferred.
Work Environment:
This job operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment such as personal computers, printers, etc.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; move about; sit; to carry work and use controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; communicate. The employee must occasionally lift or move up to 25 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by the employee include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Thursday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Friday 8:30am-3:00pm. Occasional early morning, night, and weekend hours may be required for recruitment and events.
Travel:
Travel for recruitment and to develop external partnerships is expected and may include domestic, international, and overnight travel.
Required Education and Experience:
A Bachelor's degree or equivalent is required.
5-7 years relevant experience in admission, enrollment management, or higher education marketing is preferred.
Preferred Education and Experience:
A master's degree is preferred.
Experience in higher education is preferred.
Additional Eligibility Qualifications:
A valid driver's license is required.
In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual salary range for this position is $80,00-$87,100. St. John's University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and organizational considerations when extending an offer.
This position may be relocated to any of St. John's University's physical locations at any time.
