The Digital Marketing and Communications Associate supports learning by strengthening the university's reputation, financial support, and sustainability through the day-today management and execution of Aurora University's digital communications and online presence. The role contributes to the development and delivery of website, blog, and social media content that is accurate, engaging, and aligned with university standards. In collaboration with the Director of Digital Content and the Marketing Communications team, the Associate helps plan, create, and monitor digital communications while tracking performance and staying current with emerging trends in higher education marketing.

Handles all information with tact and discretion and recognizes the confidential nature of university business.
Supports learning through performance of essential job functions and performing other duties and functions as necessary or as assigned, including voluntary participation in university committees, activities and events.
Create, update, and maintain website content in support of the Marketing Communications web development and content team.
Assist with planning, creating, scheduling, and monitoring social media content across university platforms.
Research, write, and edit content for the university blog, website, and other digital communications, as well as print pieces as-needed.
Monitor the social media activity of university-affiliated accounts and track media mentions of the university.
Gather, measure, and summarize basic analytics for website, blog, and social media performance.
Support content consistency by proofreading and fact-checking for accuracy, accessibility, and alignment with university brand and editorial standards.
Stay current on digital content trends and best practices in higher education marketing and communications.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, journalism, English, public relations, or related field required.
Experience:
One to two years of relevant internship or work experience in digital content, communications, or marketing preferred.
Special Requirements:
A valid driver's license and driving record which meets institutional requirements is required.
