Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Oversees overall marketing efforts for select sports which may include Women's Basketball, Baseball, Men's Soccer, Women's Soccer, Softball or Volleyball
• Oversight of the Charlotte 49ers Norm Mascot program or Junior Kids Club
• Helps to develop and coordinate marketing and promotional efforts for all Charlotte 49ers intercollegiate sports
• Assists with content creation for Athletics Social Media Accounts (Instagram, Facebook & Twitter) ● Implements marketing strategies and game-day promotional activities for various sports
• Assists with and plans special events
• Designs and creates advertisements for print and electronic media
• Assists staff with marketing and promotions of Football and Men's Basketball
• Helps to oversee the student internship program
• Assist Assistant Athletic Director for Marketing with on-campus grassroots marketing, to include student tailgating
• Other duties as assigned by the Assistant Athletic Director of Marketing Knowledge and Skills Considered Essential for Success:
  • Previous marketing experience
  • Previous experience with social media management
  • Must be self-motivated and team-oriented
  • Excellent organization, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • Computer experience, especially with desktop publishing (i.e. InDesign and Photoshop)
