Job Summary:
The primary responsibility of the Business Development Representative is to recruit experienced promotional products distributors and salespeople to join the iPROMOTEu network of Independent Distributor Affiliates. You would be part of a team of Business Development Representatives reporting to the company’s Vice President of Business Development. This is a full-time, remote position involving periodic travel to the company’s corporate offices in the Boston area and to various industry trade shows, conferences and other events. Your compensation would be a combination of base salary and performance-based bonus compensation. A robust employee benefits program is provided as well.
Areas of Focus and Key Responsibilities:
Leveraging Industry Expertise: Leverage your industry contacts and your strong knowledge of the promotional products industry to identify and target prospective iPROMOTEu Affiliates.
Prospecting: Research, identify and contact industry-experienced distributors and salespeople who can benefit from an affiliation with iPROMOTEu.
Networking: Actively network with industry suppliers, distributors, and partners to build and nurture valuable connections.
Relationship Building: Develop and maintain strong relationships with potential Affiliates in order to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions.
Sales and Onboarding: Effectively communicate the benefits of affiliating with iPROMOTEu and onboard new Affiliates.
Sales Pipeline Management: Utilize HubSpot CRM to manage your sales pipeline, track leads, and ensure timely follow-up.
Goals and Reporting: Set and achieve sales goals; provide regular reporting on your progress.
Market Research: Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market changes to identify new business opportunities.
Qualifications:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Representative to join our team. The ideal candidate will bring the following experience/skills to the job.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in the promotional products industry.
Proven track record in sales and business development.
Excellent written/verbal communication skills and relationship-building skills.
Proficiency with HubSpot CRM or similar CRM software.
Aggressive and creative prospecting skills.
Experience using LinkedIn and other social media platforms to engage in industry conversations.
Ability to establish a robust referral network from within the industry.
Proficiency conducting video sales calls using platforms such as Microsoft Teams or Zoom.
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
College degree in marketing or communication (preferred but not required).
