The University of New Mexico's Athletics Department seeks an Assistant Athletic Director/Director of Marketing and Revenue Generation to oversee and execute marketing, promotions, ticket revenue generation and gameday experience. Main sport oversight will be with the Men’s Basketball program. In addition, this position will work alongside the Director of Marketing as both will play a vital role in the planning of UNM Football. This person will also be the head of the athletics marketing department and oversee a two-person full-time staff in executing marketing and gameday experience efforts for all 18 UNM Athletics sports. Duties & responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: Reporting to the Senior Associate AD for Revenue Generation, this position will oversee all aspects of marketing, promotions, and revenue generation for all ticketed sports with a heavy emphasis on Men’s Basketball and Football.
Executing the creation and implementation of marketing plans and gameday “run of show” with an aggressive focus on improving attendance and revenue as well as the gameday experience for Lobo fans.
Serves as the leader of the UNM Athletics Marketing department, with two assistant directors of marketing and a team of at least 10 interns.
Creates scripts and "run of show" for game day operations for men’s basketball. Plays a role in the creation of scripts and marketing plans for other sports as assigned.
Maintains the marketing budget for the UNM Athletics marketing department with final approval by the Senior Associate AD for Revenue Generation.
Serves as UNM Athletics marketing liaison to the university.
Assists with designing and implementing marketing collateral, working with the Assistant Athletic Director of Creative Services on the overall brand for UNM Athletics.
Oversees UNM Athletics Marketing strategies and works with key university constituents on campus to market the lobo brand effectively.
Plays a key role in dictating and executing UNM Athletics social media strategy.
Has regular meetings with Tickets, Lobo Club and Playfly Sports Properties.
Bachelor's degree; at least 3 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.
