Job Summary/Essential Job Functions: Under the direction of the Associate Dean of Academic, Faculty & Student Affairs, this position creates and implements a public relations/social media plan to elevate the College of Health Professions' (COHP) brand and build local, regional, and national consumer awareness. Prioritizes budgets, corresponding business cases, and targeted performance metrics for measurement.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Works with the UTHSC Marketing and Communications team to develop news content and distribution strategies; ensure desired media coverage; design, print, and digitize materials; uphold social media and website requirements; and maintain the branding and style that is set for the university.
Serves as COHP liaison with UTHSC government relations and community relations; stays abreast of UTHSC policies regarding advocacy and outreach; advises internal clients on same.
Develops and implements an annual marketing plan and comprehensive marketing initiatives.
Informs a diverse set of targeted audiences (health care partners, potential donors, business and civic leaders, prospective students, faculty, and staff, etc.) of new program developments, research and clinical achievements, opportunities for advanced clinical care and education, etc.
Formulates a comprehensive local/regional/national media plan (both offline and online) with a provision of analytical reports that measure the performance of all distribution and conversion channels and link marketing investments to specific results.
Augments and sustains an integrated communications campaign that positions COHP as "top quality" education.
Constructs promotional materials, including giveaways, displays, wearables, etc. to heighten the public's awareness of COHP programs and its faculty and researchers.
Coordinates and performs a range of staff and/or operational support activities for the unit; serves as a liaison with other departments and operating units in the resolution of day-to-day administrative and operational problems.
Provides administrative/secretarial support for the department/division such as answering telephones, assisting visitors, and resolving and/or referring a range of administrative problems and inquiries.
Posts, balances, monitors, and reconciles internal department/division monthly ledgers, budgets, and financial reporting system reports; may prepare drafts of budget planning documents.
