Job Summary: The Dir Athletic Marketing & Fan Experience is responsible for developing and maintaining an enhanced event presentation structure that contributes to a positive fan experience for all sports, with direct focus on event production for all sports while also creating and executing comprehensive marketing and promotional plans.
Additional Department Summary: Will be a part of the marketing department and work closely with crimson tide productions, crimson tide sports marketing, event management, facilities and spirit groups to coordinate an optimal fan experience for Crimson Tide fans. Report to the Associate Athletics Director for Strategic Marketing, and will work to provide an excellent fan experience at all home athletics events. Assist the Associate Athletics Director in providing leadership for the Marketing department as well as fulfilling additional administrative and operational duties as assigned.
Required Minimum Qualifications: B.S. in Business, Marketing, Management, Public Relations, Sports management or other related field with a minimum of 3 years of experience within intercollegiate athletics, professional sports organizations or other related experience in a marketing, public relations, development or communications field OR M.S. in Business, Marketing, Management, Public Relations, Sports Management or other related field with at least 1 year of related experience.
Skills and Knowledge: Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office, Adobe Software products and other related software.
Preferred Qualifications: 5 years of experience working within an intercollegiate athletics department or professional sports team with experience in game production, sponsorship inventory management, creating and implementing marketing plans and enhancing fan experience.
