Overview
This is a two-year term position (with possibility for renewal).
Seeking an individual with strong analytical skills, as well as marketing and communication abilities, to interact effectively with clients directly and to ensure that a steady stream of students enroll in the programs that the Friedman School offers.
The Friedman School of Nutrition Science and Policy at Tufts University pursues cutting-edge research and education from cell to society, including in molecular nutrition, human metabolism, population studies, clinical trials, nutrition interventions and behavior change, communication, food systems and sustainability, global food insecurity, humanitarian crises, and food economics and policy.
What You'll Do
Reporting to the Academic Dean of the Friedman School, the Senior Enrollment Marketing Specialist is responsible for development and execution of data-informed marketing strategies, plans, and campaigns aimed at generating awareness, inquiries, and applications for the Friedman school’s programs. This position works closely with the Admissions and Communications (UCM) teams, faculty and Program Directors, the Career Services Center, and other offices throughout the university.
Responsibilities include:
Act as the primary liaison to the University’s Communications and Marketing (UCM) strategy team, and leverage UCM expertise and resources to develop data-driven marketing strategies to increase applications and meet enrollment goals
Develop clear and effective communication of a program’s value proposition to prospective and enrolled students
Driving top and middle of funnel growth (visitors, subscribers, inquiries, etc.) in support of enrollment goals
Conduct market research to determine needs, preferences, goals and behaviors of target markets and key personas
Coordinate communications (email, text, social, print, etc.) with prospects and applicants,
Collaborating with admissions counterparts routinely to stay aligned with evolving needs and progress towards enrollment goals and targets
Develop marketing plans that facilitate the progression throughout the entire student journey, from awareness through decision to enroll, and beyond
Plan, coordinate, and execute content marketing, SEO, social media, automated workflows, print, events, paid, shared and earned efforts in support of admission and recruitment strategies
Analyze and report on the performance and return on investment (ROI) of all marketing campaigns and programs
Collaborate with external partners such as marketing agencies, technical consultants, etc
Participate in all phases of the student recruitment continuum
What We're Looking For
Basic Requirements:
Knowledge and experience typically acquired through a completion of a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
5 + years’ relevant work experience
Strong attention to detail
Demonstrated ability to work independently and contribute as a team member of, develop relationships with wide variety of internal and external constituencies, provide high-level of customer service, handle confidential information, balance need to be both strategic and detail-oriented, and work in fast-paced environment
Excellent interpersonal, listening, and oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills
Ability to engage with a variety of constituents (prospective and current students, alumni, faculty, agencies, and vendors, etc.) from many different cultural backgrounds
Excellent organizational skills: ability to execute multiple objectives concurrently. Ability to work under and meet tight deadlines is essential
Preferred Qualifications:
Familiarity with Technolutions Slate or similar CRM system strongly preferred
Experience with Google Ads and Google Analytics, SEO and SEM
Graduate degree preferred
Experience working in higher education is strongly preferred
Ability and willingness to work evenings and weekends as needed, and to travel domestically and internationally
Pay Range
Minimum $68,400.00, Midpoint $85,550.00, Maximum $102,700.00
Salary is based on related experience, expertise, and internal equity; generally, new hires can expect pay between the minimum and midpoint of the range.
