The Integrated Marketing Director, Student Life will take ownership of leading the marketing and communication efforts for a key university unit, Student Life, which is a multifaceted area of the University focused primarily on the development, success, and well-being of current students. This position is responsible for developing strategic marketing and communication plans, as well as coordinating both internal and external resources to execute across various platforms, which support the short- and long-term marketing strategy for the university and the unit.In partnership with the Student Life team and other key stakeholders, the incumbent will create, lead and execute a targeted marketing plan and oversee all marketing content developed from within and for the unit. They will work to enhance the reputation of Student Life and ensure its messaging is reaching its intended audience(s) in a coordinated and impactful manner, advising on gaps in communication opportunities. And as necessary, they will assist with the handling of issues relating to crisis communication and issues management. They will serve as a senior leader, strategist, and partners ensuring integration and alignment both among the Student Life unit and in collaboration with university marketing and Communicationsâ goals, policies, and protocols.The Integrated Marketing Director, Student Life is a visionary communicator and marketing expert who leads all the marketing efforts on behalf of Student Life and collaborates with a broad cross-functional group, as well as agency partners to help develop and execute a marketing plan that includes campaign development, creative development, media placement, and analytics. They will calibrate efforts to specific goals in the strategic enrollment management plans and report out and amend plans accordingly.This position reports to the Assistant Vice President, Integrated Marketing with a dotted line to the Senior Vice Provost for Student Life.
A Masterâs degree is strongly preferred, ideally an MBA with a focus in marketing.7+ years leading marketing and /or branding in a complex, dynamic organization.Mastery of integrated marketing strategies and tactics across print, digital, and broadcast marketing and communication channels. Familiarity with CRM and email marketing.Ability to work with multiple internal and agency partners effectively. Strong interpersonal skills and adept at leading and motivating others. A can-do attitude and the enthusiasm and gravitas to develop followership toward vision and execution.Demonstrated experience developing, socializing, and executing a marketing strategy.The successful candidate will be a visionary strategic marketer and a skilled and experienced persuasive communicator who is able to translate complex information for UNH constituent audiences into actionable outcomes. This individual should be a responsive, positive, and amiable collaborator, who is capable of working across a complex, matrixed organization and with varying levels of the hierarchy. Applicants should be experienced in creating thorough marketing plans for broad target audiences and familiar with brand/identity development, integrated MarCom programs, digital communications, and effective design.
