Evaluates existing marketing plan and implements a comprehensive marketing and communications strategy through the use of print, web-based and video media; Further develops brand and image ensuring that a unified identity is communicated to all Campus Recreation constituencies; Promotes awareness of company brand among internal and external constituencies by reinforcing brand standards, and ensuring consistency in messaging content as well as the look and feel across all marketing mediums; Oversees and participates in web creation, design, minor and major updates; Implement e-marketing programs, including e-mails, social media/online communities, blogs and video; Oversee and may participate in all creation, design and lay-out of brochures, posters, flyers, website, video board, and various presentations. Chooses and works with 3rd party vendors to complete marketing and communications materials as needed; Manages communications budget and works with print companies on print, receipt, and distribution; Evaluates existing sponsorship deals and investigates/implements sponsorship opportunities to generate income; Provides direction and sets deadlines to various advertising vendors to reach the goal of each unit; Conducts market analysis, identifies demographics and market segments; Provides support by preparing all written communications, including customer correspondences, presentations and proposals; Writes copy and edits all marketing materials, including campaigns, slogans, letters, and program descriptions; Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining interdepartmental networks and participating in professional organizations.

*Bachelor's degree required; degree in Marketing, Communications or related area strongly preferred
*Requires at least 2 years of professional level experience in marketing/communications having developed effective promotional material for target audiences
*Experience with developing and implementing a marketing plan strongly preferred
*Demonstrated ability to edit copy and accept edits/changes
*Proficiency in all forms of desktop publishing including Adobe Creative Suite Version 2 or later, all forms of print media from inception to completion, web and video materials preferred
*Broad knowledge and experience in campus recreation or similar university setting preferred.
*Photography and videography competencies, including editing and sound mixing, are desirable
*Requires very strong interpersonal, organizational, verbal and written communication skills
*Ability to thrive in a diverse student-service environment in a collegiate setting
