Drake Athletics is seeking applicants for the position of Assistant Director of Athletics Marketing. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing and executing a comprehensive marketing and ticket sales plan for women’s basketball, volleyball, men’s soccer and other sports as assigned. This position also utilizes official social media platforms to engage fans by delivering entertaining and informative content and is charged with administering a campus marketing strategy to increase student engagement. This position is eligible for a Customized Work Arrangement with remote and in-person work locations.
Develop, implement and execute a comprehensive marketing and ticket sales plan for women's basketball, volleyball, men's soccer and other assigned sports, which includes outlining promotions and ticket sales strategies, with an emphasis on increasing revenue, raising attendance, and enhancing in-game promotions to maximize the fan experience
Administer a creative campus marketing plan to develop increased student engagement with athletics and manage the Dog Pound Student Rewards app and rewards program. Actively engage with student groups and organizations.
Utilize official social media platforms to engage fans by delivering entertaining and informative content for Drake Athletics, the Drake Relays and Drake Road Races. Oversee social media advertising and development of video content in partnership with the director of creative services.
Oversee and manage the student intern program and mascot program for the marketing department. This includes scheduling, training and day-to-day oversite.
Work collaboratively with the Athletic ticket office to drive strategies to increase sales of season tickets, single game packages and group tickets.
Manage marketing game day operations at home athletic events including scripting, and assist in the fulfillment and successful execution of corporate sponsorship elements.
Design promotional graphics to be used in email marketing, digital and social media platforms.
All of the duties described above require an understanding of and compliance with the rules of the NCAA, Missouri Valley Conference, Metro Atlantic Conference, Pioneer Football League and Drake University.
