Position Summary
Reporting to the Assistant Director of Marketing and Communications, the Marketing and Communications Manager is responsible for designing, developing, and disseminating multi-media content to relevant stakeholder groups. This position will integrate strategic communications, audience and user research, content creation, brand building, and project management to ensure the successful marketing of PRIM&R programs and services.
The Marketing and Communications Manager will have a high level of expertise with writing content optimized for an online experience and be able to quickly connect the dots between how a user experiences content across multiple channels. They thrive on data and can analyze marketing analytics and metrics to constantly adjust content to meet goals. The ideal candidate for this role is ready to brainstorm ways to build PRIM&R’s brand and online presence and has the technical ability and know-how to execute those ideas.
What you’ll do:
- Manage PRIM&R’s website and execute strategies to manage/improve SEO, ensure accessibility, and strengthen online presence and customer experience.
- Collaborate with internal and external resources and subject matter experts to create a range of compelling content (e.g., articles, videos, emails, webpages, landing pages, interactive tools, etc.) that is informative, entertaining, and engaging for the target audience.
- Use SEO best practices and A/B testing to increase web traffic and optimize content discovery and performance.
- Identify audience needs and gaps in our content and recommend new topics.
- Use content performance data, audience insights, and competitive analysis to develop the content strategy, audience content journey mapping, and content plan.
- Collaborate with the Marketing and Communications team to develop and implement PRIM&R’s editorial calendar and program-specific marketing plans
- Develop, write, edit, and design PRIM&R marketing ads, emails, blog posts, event materials, etc.

What we’re looking for:
- Software: Microsoft suite, Adobe Creative Suite, CMS (Kentico - website, WordPress – blog), Google Analytics, SEO tools, social media (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn).
- Project Management: Must be able to effectively plan and manage projects and competing deadlines. Familiarity with project management tools (like Airtable) a plus.
- Communication: Must have excellent writing/editing skills and strong attention to detail and be able to flexibly and diplomatically work across programs with a variety of staff.
- Requires an understanding of current and upcoming trends in marketing/communications and design, particularly for associations and nonprofits.
- Familiarity with HTML/CSS and web best practice (usability, SEO, design, etc.).
