Job Description: What We Are Looking For
The Marketing and Communications Specialist serves in the Office of Marketing and Communication for Information Technology and University Libraries and is responsible for executing branding, marketing, public relations, and communications campaigns and strategies on behalf of the Dean of University Libraries, Baylor's Chief Information Officer, Unit Directors and other clients in ITS and the Libraries.
A Bachelor's degree, one year relevant work experience, and an active Christian faith are required. A Master's degree and three years relevant work experience are preferred. Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
Other required skills and abilities include:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Advanced graphic and visual design skills
Advanced experience with the Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere, in particular)
Expert understanding of social media platforms
Excellent understanding of integrated marketing strategy
What You Will Do
Overseeand manage the social media portfolio for ITS & University libraries
Execute client projects received from the Director and Assistant Director in coordination with student interns
Design, write and publish print, digital and visual assets for client campaigns
Assist with the recruitment, training and management of student interns
Assist with the maintenance of standing assets including public print installations, websites, and digital signage
Assist Museum Studies Intern and Assistant Director with development, execution and installation of public exhibits
Collaborate with Baylor Marketing & Communications and other internal and external offices to execute client objectives and goals
Develop marketing and communications campaigns and strategies for clients
