The University of North Texas in the growing Denton, Texas area seeks an Assistant Director for Marketing and Promotions. This position is responsible for assisting in the creation, coordination, and implementation of marketing and promotions for all of North Texas intercollegiate athletic programs. Emphasis on enhancing the game day experience, stimulate increased attendance, and foster student and community involvement. Position is an integral component in the work flow for many projects specifically for artwork creation, social media, and the day to day oversight of student interns.
Assist in the development of new, creative strategies each season to market and promote the 16 Athletic Teams.
Assist in managing and developing collateral materials for assigned Olympic Sports.
Assist in the supervision and management of all athletic marketing and promotions interns.
Coordinate and manage social media efforts and initiatives.
Enhance Social media marketing by researching and implementing latest trends.
Assist in all aspects of game day and special event management.
Is knowledgeable and current on NCAA rules and regulations as it pertains to everyday duties.
Assist in maintaining current and develop additional athletic related, student oriented programs.
Assist in sponsor fulfillment through video board, public address and game promotions.
Assist Athletic Department with special events and projects when needed.
Bachelor’s Degree in in related field and two years of related experience; or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
