Boston University has an extensive network of web sites serving our community of prospective students, students, alumni, athletics, faculty, and staff. This is an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects with various partners in the university community and to help build the next iteration of web sites at BU. We are looking for a Junior WordPress Developer to dive into the development and deployment of websites built with our content management system for the university-wide WordPress ecosystem. You will work with the project team to fulfill requirements based on scope and design comps, optimize code within the code base, collaborate on QA testing and assist with bug-fixing.

B.A. or B.S. in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
1-3 years of experience.
Understanding of basic computer science algorithms and data structures.
Experience with: PHP, JavaScript, and the newest HTML and CSS standards & preprocessors, such as Sass.
Using task runners, such as NPM / Grunt.
Knowledge of the WordPress core codebase
Preferred Skills:
Developing custom features and functionality for WordPress
Creating WordPress plugins
Developing for WordPress Gutenberg editor & React experience.
WordPress as a Network WordPress CLI
