Abbott Diabetes Care (ADC)is looking for a
Marketing Manager - HCP EMEAP (m/f/d)
for the Area Marketing team based in Wiesbaden, Germany.
Main Responsibilities:
Understanding the Health Care Professional and Customer - be familiar with the key Customer needs in the diabetes management space and "sponsor" these throughout the Commercial organisation.
Know the Markets - Research and analyze the market in order to gain critical Customer insights and data used in determining marketing decisions, strategies and opportunities. He/She will work together with the Local Affiliates to identify key targets and access to their extensive network of KOL's, KI's and KE's
Know the Product - Understanding the context in which the product is used, he/she will articulate the product's strengths and weaknesses with a clear know-how in authority in communicating credibly with Practitioners (esp. KOL's) in the Field (both in person and indirectly)
Strategic Planning/Messaging Development - strategically plans and tactically executes an Integrated Marketing Plan (IMP) as directed by the Area Marketing Director. He/She will participate in the development of the Area Marketing Strategy; manage the development of appropriate messaging campaigns for use across EMEAP; ensure buy-in from Local Affiliates and on-time delivery of approved materials. To be successful, this role with have to work closely with Public Affairs
Insights, Market Research and Communication - given the change in business-model, gleaning insights from the Professional arena, including KOL's, KI's, KE's ensuring these are rapidly disseminated and integrated into the Local Affiliates is deemed critical. Managing a Professional-facing front-end portal with specific marketing objectives will mean that he/she can operate as a consummate communicator, coordinating the traditional communication channels (like Publications, PR, and media relationships at a Regional level, as well as more advanced, integrated platforms (ie. Thought Leadership portal). Eventually, he/she will also be responsible for building and disseminating general interest stories (news creation)
Metrics - undertake campaign effectiveness monitoring, with market research colleagues where necessary, primarily to understand the SoV being developed and change of script/recommendation/bahviour
Budget - have full budgetary responsibility for designated budgets as appropriate, ensuring they are maintained within spending limits
External Relations - be part of the team responsible for managing ADC's congress participation, particularly around supporting and coordinating Country KOL's, KE's and KI's generating interest and excitement in the professional arena
Your Profile:
Educated to degree level, with a post-graduate qualification in Medical/Professional Marketing preferred or MBA
7 years of overall Marketing experience, with a min. of 3 years Medical Marketing experience in diabetes/healthcare/medical devices or other regulated industry
Extensive experience of developing, maintaining and delivering on marketing strategies to meet Company objectives
Proven track record of executing with urgency
Experience and proven diabetes-related interest and expertise desirable
Professional relations experience preferable
Drive, coupled with energetic, entrepreneurial leadership qualities
A willingness to travel and work in an international team
Fluent in spoken and written English
