Establishes, integrates and manages the Oakland University brand. Enhances OU's institutional reputation by focusing on overall brand strategy and its integration with academic units, including implementation and maintenance of OU brand platform, integrated enrollment management marketing, branded social media content, digital advertising, production and university-wide brand initiatives. Plans, manages and oversees strategic marketing campaigns targeting brand and channel audiences in order to increase awareness, engagement and conversion. Leads implementation efforts of UCM strategic goals in support of university goals, focusing primarily on integrating overarching brand work into the UCM strategic communication plan. As a member of the UCM senior management team, ensure streamlined activities within the department based on the priorities of the University and vice president for University Marketing and Communications.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations or equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
Minimum 9 years of editorial supervision, project and staff management.
Considerable experience in higher education / nonprofit marketing communications.
Excellent oral and written communications skills and demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with others.
Excellent organizational, service and analytical skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience managing professional staff and managers, a creative team and working with multiple levels of the organization and clients.
Experience with managing large advertising campaigns and budget authority.
