The Stanford Technology Ventures Program (STVP, stvp.stanford.edu), in the Department of Management Science and Engineering, is Stanford Engineering's entrepreneurial leadership center. We empower entrepreneurs to become global citizens who create and scale responsible innovations.

Reporting to STVP's Managing Director, the Marketing Manager is responsible for lifting brand awareness and growing product use of STVP's core products including the popular
Entrepreneurial Thought Leaders Series (etl.stanford.edu), the Principled Entrepreneurial Action & Knowledge (PEAK) project focused on ethics in entrepreneurship, and more. This person will drive the marketing and digital strategy, development, maintenance, and optimization for STVP products, user experiences, and multi-channel marketing campaigns.
This role will bring a vital bridge between the STVP's primary audience (students) and the talent fueling STVP's products (STVP affiliated faculty and insights). The Marketing Manager will get to know and understand both audiences deeply. This role will effectively communicate STVP's value to end-users by providing students at Stanford and entrepreneurial communities around the world with valuable and engaging learning experiences when and how they want it.
This person will be a key strategy partner in helping to share STVP's overall strategy and core activities/products. This person will shape and lead the magnification of STVP products via digital experiences and marketing campaigns. They will work collaboratively with STVP's Head of Content to generate and deliver content and user experiences with accessible language and vibrant storytelling. This role will lead STVP's work on website development and maintenance, 3rd party platform and social media strategy for a multi-year growth plan focused on increasing brand awareness, product engagement, and fundamentally re-defining the way entrepreneurs are trained and how they lead.
This role will utilize user research, surveys, and data to drive decision making with STVP leadership and the team. They will have budget oversight for paid marketing and vendor budget, including for web development, paid social media, and other projects. Working with vendors, freelancers, and STVP staff who specialize in writing, editing, design, and multimedia, this role will help inform, shape, and create content and marketing materials.
STVP is a small, high impact, and highly collaborative team. The Marketing Manager will engage in creative, strategic, and generative collaboration to develop and improve activities with the core STVP team and affiliated faculty.

The Marketing Manager will be key in helping to deliver on STVP's mission. We empower entrepreneurs to become global citizens who create and scale responsible innovations.
This is a 2-year fixed-term position with the opportunity for renewal.
Core Duties: - Execute product/ program plan definition, and detailed rollout schedule, including collaboration with internal stakeholders.
- Collaborate with marketing team to develop and execute a marketing plan, assessing, and revising as necessary to meet goals.
- Implement conversion strategy to meet product/program goals.
- Deliver an experience that leads to high customer satisfaction and advocacy for the Program.
- Conduct analysis and make recommendations regarding the direction of the program or product.
- Coordinate with vendors and consultants on specific programs.
- Actively participates in efforts to improve processes, programs, and business across the department.
Minimum Education and Experience RequiredBachelor's degree and three years of relevant experience or a combination of education and relevant experience.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS*: - Frequently sit, perform desk-based computer tasks, grasp lightly/fine manipulation and lift/carry/push/pull objects that weigh up to 10 pounds.
- Occasionally stand/walk, write by hand, twist/bend/stoop/squat and lift/carry/push/pull objects that weigh up to 20 pounds.
- Rarely use a telephone, kneel, crawl, climb ladders, reach/work above shoulder, grasp forcefully.

- Travel locally and cross-university.
