The Master of Communication Management (MCM) program in the Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism, University of Southern California seeks a qualified Adjunct Lecturer to supplement instruction offered by our full-time faculty, specifically to teach CMGT-555: Online Marketing: Design, Development and Critical Analysis. In this course students learn about marketing in the new media environment. It offers a mix of theoretical approaches to digital marketing as well as the opportunity to actively participate in the conceptualization and creation of digital elements and narratives for real clients – thereby enabling students to apply theory and learned constructs to real-world issues and problems.

Candidates must have substantial industry experience in marketing communication. Teaching experience in marketing communication, strategic and organizational communication, other fields of applied communication is highly desired.

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum Education: A Master’s in Communication, Public Relations, Marketing, Business Management or related fields.

Minimum Experience: 15 years of professional experience
 

Preferred Qualifications:

Preferred Education: A Master or Ph.D. in Communication, Public Relations, Marketing, Business Management or related fields.

Preferred Experience: Teaching experience in marketing communication, strategic and organizational communication, other fields of applied communication. Demonstrated ability to coach and help students achieve their academic and professional goals. Work experience in related positions at national or global agencies or Fortune-500 tier companies.

USC reserves the “Adjunct” appointment for faculty teaching less than full-time at USC, who are employed full-time in a primary profession or career elsewhere. Adjunct faculty typically teach only one course per year, but in exceptional cases, may teach one course per semester, if approved by the dean.
