Develop a yearly paid media strategy/plan based on current University goals set by the Cabinet for undergraduate, graduate and professional studies programs. Work with the Marketing Manager and Director of Admissions Operations and University Marketing to set clear benchmarks and goals on all channels.
Provide a yearly social media content calendar to ensure coverage for university events, announcements, and campaigns ensuring that content is fresh, dynamic and engaging.
Support in creating marketing campaigns on any/all social media and web advertising platforms, and continuously review, analyze, and enhance messaging to optimize copy for SEO.
Ensure brand consistency and cohesion across all digital platforms.
Report metrics to the team and develop a plan for enhanced conversion rates and future remarketing/retargeting campaigns.
Performs market research on current trends, digital marketing opportunities, market analysis, and competitor research. Provide suggestions based on research in order to keep the University abreast of new digital trends.
Monitor and benchmark competitor websites and organic social media postings for ideas, best practices, and creative approaches.
Collaborate with the Sr. Graphic Designer in providing strategy for ad designs based on trends and ad performance.
Ensure that both paid and organic advertising are aligned and provide good web traffic and conversion for the university.
Work collaboratively with the team and various stakeholders.
Identify risks to the organization within the department and discuss risk reduction options with immediate supervisor.
Manage the Digital Content Assistant and Marketing student workers who support social media efforts.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Marketing Manager.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree required.
3-5 years of experience in marketing and/or advertising in an agency, higher education or private industry.
Computer skill set that includes desktop proficiency with the Macintosh operating system and social media and web platform such as Google search and display ads, Facebook Business Manager, LinkedIn Ad Campaigns, and Twitter Advertising.
Experience in SEO, SEM, UTM codes, Tag Manager, and Google Analytics to track goals, metrics, conversions and generate reports.
Evidence of creativity, innovation and vision as it pertains to digital marketing strategies.
Basic CSS and HTML Knowledge.
Familiarity with scripting languages such as PHP, JavaScript
Strong written/verbal communication skills.
A clear understanding of branding and the ability to communicate the brand to a wide target market.
Knowledge and acceptance of principles and philosophies of Vanguard University.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Google AdWords Certified
Proficiency with the Adobe Creative Suite
Experience with Sprout Social
