The Oportun Marketing team is a highly visible, highly productive, and thoroughly enjoyable group that works cross functionally to champion the voice of our customers. The Marketing team is responsible for the acquisition, growth and retention of these customers.
We are looking for a highly quantitative marketer to oversee the marketing strategy & execution of Oportun’s newly expanded national personal loan business. This director will develop, validate, and present marketing strategy to all levels within the organization. They will drive consistency and performance across all communication vehicles and channels. This director should be versed in all areas of digital and traditional marketing including segmentation, creative development, production, deployment processes, testing and response measurement. Have a keen eye for creative and can confidently and clearly communicate ideas and recommendations and love the challenge of growing revenue while optimizing for profit.
Drive the marketing strategic planning for the national personal loan business.
Lead the research, ideation, and collaboration to deliver integrated, multi-channel, marketing campaigns to drive account growth and brand affinity
Collaborate and develop strong working relationships with key internal and partner stakeholders to ensure open communications and successful outcomes
Lead monthly strategic planning & forecast meetings
Actively analyze business data to generate insights and make informed decisions that drive business results
Manage all aspects of the multimillion-dollar budget
Perform competitive analysis, review market research and customer testimonials to help shape creative concepts, value propositions and messaging
Bring an audience-first mindset all facets of marketing
Brainstorm disruptive marketing strategies and tactics to reinforce Oportun’s unique value proposition
10+ years in consumer marketing creating and delivering integrated marketing campaigns across traditional and digital channels. Experience in financial services and/or lending is a plus.
Demonstrated track record of working in a highly collaborative environment with capability to lead teams and drive influence and impact.
Ability to see the big picture, build a team-oriented approach to problem solving and analyze the marketplace to ensure the Company remains competitive
