The Chief Marketing Officer will lead the strategy, planning and execution of marketing, communications and branding initiatives to support Salo’s national brand expansion and future growth and expansion plans. This strategic marketing leader has a well-balanced background in marketing and the proven ability to partner with the organization to scale and grow the business with the use of innovative, creative and impactful marketing strategies. S/he will collaborate closely with leaders across the company and the sales teams to establish and execute marketing strategies. In 2021, Salo became a national brand, serving clients and consultants across the United States. This expansion was fueled by a refreshed brand (the first in 18 years) and all-new growth marketing programs that drive revenue and positions Salo as a national brand and industry leader in talent solutions.
Develop and execute the strategy for growth. Work closely with CEO, COO and sales teams to build growth strategies that drive revenue and position Salo as a national, industry leader in talent solutions. Develop repeatable expansion, adoption, and advocacy programs.
Build and maintain a world-class brand. Grow awareness, continue to establish Salo as a national leader in talent solutions and maintain relevancy with competitive, customer and market shifts.
Build a scalable demand generation engine. Design customer and prospect programs to drive growth.
Build and lead a highly productive and engaged team. Build a team of diverse marketers.
Build and optimize the marketing tech stack. Lead the organization’s efforts to build the technology and process to support a scaled, modern, and data-driven marketing.
Lead market and product intelligence. Drive ongoing analysis of the market including customers, products, and the competition.
Provide sales enablement. Develop alignment between the sales process and product story. Build effective internal communication channels with the sales team and training to help drive the pipeline, find new buyers, and cross-sell into existing accounts.

Demonstrated experience leading, building and growing a marketing function including experience hiring, motivating, inspiring, and onboarding talented individuals
Deep experience and track record of leading marketing initiatives responsible for generating growth and profitability
A strong understanding of the necessary balance between brand building and customer acquisition
Demonstrated ability to integrate marketing work across the organization with other departments including IT, finance, sales, human resources and operations
