Holy Child School at Rosemont is a Catholic, co-educational, independent school (Early Childhood-8th grade) located near the campuses of Villanova University and Rosemont College in the western suburbs of Philadelphia. The Manager of Communications and Marketing oversees the Assistant Manager of Communications and Marketing and reports to the Director of Admissions and Enrollment. The Manager is responsible for developing and implementing a long-term marketing and communications vision that promotes the mission of the school, raises the school’s visibility, strengthens the school brand, and communicates to internal and external constituencies.
We seek to hire a dynamic and forward-thinkingprofessional who combines strategic thinking with attention to detail and a ‘boots on the ground’ practicality and work ethic. This is a full-time, 12-month position.
Creating and maintaining an annual communications calendar that includes a production schedule for all print and electronic materials, internal and external correspondence, and specific marketing projects
Developing, writing, and editing articles for the bi-annual magazine, Cachet; overseeing its design, production and distribution
Managing and contributing content for the school’s communication channels such as the weekly Holy Child Herald e-newsletters and ad hoc communications
Serving as the primary content/organizational manager for the school’s website.
Executing and contributing to school marketing efforts including print and digital advertising, social media, and other platforms
Serving as primary spokesman in the event of an emergency
Managing and mentoring the Assistant Manager of Marketing and Communications
Conceptualizing, creating and producing compelling visual storytelling through video and photography
Evaluating and managing the sourcing/bidding of outside vendors for specialty expertise or services (design services, photography, production, printing)
Budget forecasting and management

An appreciation for our mission and philosophy as a Holy Child School
A Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing or a related field
At least 5-7 years of experience in communications, preferably in the non-profit sector
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Drive, all social media platforms and online content management system (e.g. Finalsite), Adobe InDesign and Photoshop a plus
Ability to work flexible hours (occasional evenings and weekends) in accordance with the demands of the position
Excellent writing, editing, and communications skills with the ability to produce materials quickly and in a variety of styles
Ability to develop, monitor, and adhere to budgets and production schedules
Demonstrated success in managing multiple projects with shifting priorities and competing deadlines
