What we're looking for

Upstream is looking to hire an amazing growth marketer to get our app into the hands of every professional worldwide. We're looking for someone who understands virality, is an expert at analytics, and is curious, persistent, and enthusiastic. If you are the person your friends go to when they have growth and marketing questions - we want to hire you!

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with our CEO, Alex, and Head of Community, Sarah, to grow Upstream's member base in a sustainable manner that preserves the high-quality, diverse, and value-driven nature of our member base
  • Work closely with our Engineering & Product team (Michael, Zhanna, Kazi, Alexandria) to brainstorm features that encourage social sharing, referring friends, and returning to the app
  • Audit the competitive landscape, understand target markets, and identify insights to inform campaign strategies and go-to-market activities
  • Evolve and refine Upstream's brand voice and resonance
  • Design and refine our growth marketing plays across all mediums: SEO, SEM, social, content, partners, email, and more
  • Own Upstream's marketing calendar across channels
  • Drive team towards a more data-driven approach across marketing and growth, utilizing analytics to help drive team’s decision

Qualifications

  • 2+ years experience (full-time experience not needed if you have been doing this in your side hustle!)
  • Excited and energized to build from scratch and be in on the ground-level of a rapidly growing start-up
  • Detail-oriented, data-driven doer who likes to experiment and see what sticks
  • Ability to run with and completely own Upstream's online brand and presence
  • Resonance with Upsteam's mission to help professionals help each other

NOTES:
Telecommuting is allowed.

Additional Salary Information: - Compensation for this role is within the range of: $75,000-$100,000 + health care, learning & development budget, & technology stipend - Full-time, completely remote
