As the Pediatric Strategic Marketing Consultant for UCSF Health you will inform and lead the marketing strategies, plans, and messaging for key pediatric service lines. Ranked among the nation’s best children’s hospitals, UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospitals is located in San Francisco and Oakland, Calif., and attracts patients and families regionally and nationally for our exceptional care.
The Pediatric Strategic Marketing Consultant, serves as a key member of the UCSF Health marketing team, leading marketing strategy and support for UCSF Health and UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospitals. The successful candidate uses advanced marketing concepts to evaluate and develop collaborative marketing plans, implements tactics in support of identified goals, and measures and reports on performance. Assignments are complex and require a high degree of technical marketing expertise and relationship management.
The successful candidate:
Will be a prominent representative of the UCSF Health brand
Collaborates with internal and external marketing colleagues to develop effective marketing and communication strategies
Consults with leadership of marketing and strategy, to ensure alignment of marketing assignments to identified priorities
Manages, executes, and optimizes marketing plans to achieve marketing objectives
Implements, tracks and reports key success metrics (ROI) for marketing campaigns
Ensures brand consistency across designated marketing channels
Collaborates with colleagues in strategic marketing, digital marketing, physician outreach and public relations to ensure integrated and coordinated marketing and communication efforts
Other duties as assigned
Some travel required
Minimum Requirements:
Seven years’ experience in strategy, communications or marketing positions, including experience managing complex relationships
Three years’ experience in developing, tracking and reporting on key performance indicators
Health care experience
Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, health administration or related field
Strong skills in relationship management, marketing, effectively organizing resources and setting and establishing priorities
Strong interpersonal communication skills and political acumen
Excellent market research, analytical, and problem recognition, avoidance and resolution skills
Strong skills to produce results and achieve predetermined goals within budget and time constraints
Flexibility to orient and work at all UCSF Health locations
