Awarded “Best Places to Work” in the Bay Area for the 4th time, TMC Financing is looking for Director of Marketing Strategy to join our team.  This is a great opportunity for someone eager to assist small businesses and do work that makes a difference! 

The Position

This person will use their skills to develop and execute marketing strategies to meet company objectives.  The perfect person for this role has proven success in marketing strategy and previous commercial real estate or lending industry experience.

Responsibilities

  • In collaboration with the leadership team, develop strategic vision for marketing and sales, with the goal of identifying areas for business growth
  • Provide strategic and tactical direction for marketing including planning, budgeting, scheduling and implementing.
  • Lead market planning efforts, including forecasting, market research and competitive intelligence/analysis.
    • Conduct market analysis to identify challenges and opportunities for growth
    • Develop strategies for business development among targeted industries.
    • Generate innovative ideas to promote the 504 program
    • Track competitors’ activities
    • Assist business development officers in strategic planning for client and partner presentations, events and marketing.
  • Responsible for the company’s overall brand positioning, including corporate web presence, email communication strategies, conference presence, PR and more.
    • Oversee content creation for the SBA 504 program and assist with writing/editing both internal and external communications including social media content/blog posts, sales or other collateral, and infographic/video.
    • Build relationships with media and stakeholders through creative PR strategies
    • Contact members of the media to set up interviews
    • Get company featured on various media outlets
  • Oversee lead generation program/email marketing campaigns.
    • Track and measure marketing outcomes including marketing activities, response, leads, sales, retention, and ROI
    • Execute post-mortem analysis of marketing campaigns related to event sponsorships, particularly as it relates to pre- and post-event communication and lead generation.
    • Facilitate the preparation and analysis of company performance reports.
    • Oversee management of Salesforce database of prospect and client information, reporting and dashboards.
  • Manage and mentor marketing team
    • Determine staffing requirements. Hire and train new staff
    • Set employee goals and objectives; develop staff to maximize potential
    • Conduct performance reviews

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; 10-plus years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Commercial real estate or lending experience required.
  • Superior written, verbal, and presentation communication skills
  • Highly proficient in Salesforce including reporting, Adobe Creative Suite or similar design/layout applications, and all MS Office applications.
  • Experience designing email marketing campaigns with Pardot or other email programs, and tracking marketing ROI.
  • Experience with WordPress or other content management software.
  • Strategic thinker with strong business acumen, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Resourceful and well-organized; excellent time-management and project-management skills.
  • Ability to identify opportunities for improvement to existing business processes and proactively offer solutions.
  • Results- and people-oriented; ability to balance other business considerations with employee issues/concerns.
  • Ability to create, track, and manage budgets.
