The Director of Resource Development will work in consultation with and under the direction of the CEO. The Director will be hands-on and is responsible for developing and implementing a strategic fundraising and communications plan that creates interest for corporate, foundation and individual donors to become consistent contributors in support of our mission. The Director will be responsible for cultivating successful relationships that enhance the reputation of PRS within the community and donor population. Our organization raises funds from corporations, foundations, individuals, civic groups, and an annual benefit. The Director supervises a Manager-level staff. The Resource Development team also supports the organization’s contracting activities. We are seeking a leader who can add to our organization’s strength and growth; a key part of that growth will be the expansion of our fundraising and strategic alliances.
Ideal Candidate:
Five to seven+ years’ successful work experience in fundraising, preferably in behavioral health field, to include marketing, grant writing and reporting and event planning.
High degree of empathy toward individuals with behavioral health challenges.
Resource development experience at all levels working and integrating with program staff, volunteers, board members, individuals served and their families. In-depth knowledge of regional behavioral health community partners a significant plus. Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with all levels of donors and to translate service value into market and donor value.
Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and professional writing skills. Familiarity with general business and donor management software.
Professional with demonstrated ability to achieve strong results with minimal supervision.
