Civitas Senior Living, a Fort Worth,Texas based operator, is looking to add a seasoned sales professional to our leadership team as Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing. Civitas Senior Living is a certified Great Place to Work and operates 50+ senior living communities in 6 states.

Open Position: Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing

Position Objective and Expected Results:

Through effective communication and leadership, this key leadership position will lead a team of Regional Directors of Sales and Marketing and Sales Specialists as they drive Sales and Marketing initiatives while increasing occupancy throughout the Company. Results of your out of the box and innovative actions will exceed the occupancy and revenue goals for the Company.

As Senior VP of Sales & Marketing, you will demonstrate business excellence in the following areas:  

Sales Management

Our sales management approach is hands on and you will spend a lot of time traveling to different Civitas communities to share your passion for sales excellence.

  • Oversees, develops, and monitors the sales and marketing processes and plans needed to support census growth.
  • Proactively uses analytics and personal interactions to monitor Community and Team Member sales performance. Assesses the skills and abilities of sales staff and Regional management and coaches, trains and motivates as appropriate to achieve success.
  • Promotes a culture of data accuracy through the careful review of marketing reports to ensure accuracy of information and to make recommendations for necessary changes.
  • Maintains comprehensive knowledge of the lead tracking/management system, trouble shooting and training. Monitors community lead and business tracking systems, sales tools and resources to ensure compliance with system usage and follow up statistics.
  • Understands local markets within Company and collaborates with Operations and the Regional Sales management to personalize Community sales strategic plans.
  • Coordinates the completion of competitive analysis on all communities within the Company, as needed, and stays up to date on competitive projects and programs in the marketplace(s)

Business Development

  • Through effective business development and branding strategies, you will develop and lead campaigns that tell the story of Civitas and what makes us a leader in the senior living industry.
  • In partnership with the VP of Marketing, you will oversee the use of marketing budget dollars to assure optimal exposure and maximum efficiencies.
  • Partners with the business development team in the development and modification of short and long-range community marketing plans and budgets by assuring competitor information, data and feedback are available.
  • Promotes business coordination between communities to provide optimum results without duplication of resources.

Team Member Recruitment & Development

  • By supporting Executive Directors and Regional Directors of Sales & Marketing, you will build a team of sales professionals throughout Civitas through efficient hiring, effective onboarding and training and continued sales skills development. You will actively partner with People Operations, Human Resources, and Operations in the employee management life cycle to ensure our sales teams are operating above and beyond expectations.

Qualifications for Senior VP of Sales and Marketing

We are looking for a forward-thinking individual who will dare to think of the next great sales and marketing idea! This means we are open to candidates from senior living, hospitality, and other backgrounds.

Ideally, candidates for this position will possess the following:

Education and Experience

  • Three or More years of Senior Living Sales Leadership in a VP capacity with experience managing a team of regional sales directors.
  • Proven experience developing and executive large-scale sales and marketing strategic plans within organizations including the use of analytics to track return on investment. You will have a reputation for recruiting, developing, and leading a successful sales team and experience as an accomplished sales strategist.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing or related field from a four-year college or university is highly desired but not required.

Special Requirements

  • Our expectation is that the person hired for this position will reside in Texas within 90 days of their effective start date. Ideal locations are Dallas-Fort Worth or Austin, Texas.
  • Frequent car travel requires the incumbent to possess and maintain a valid driver’s license.
