Graduate Assistant for Athletic Event Management and Marketing

Responsibilities:
Promote the mission of Lincoln Memorial University to all faculty, staff, students and to the community at large; Organize and coordinate events and manage memberships  for the “L Club”, the official booster club of LMU athletics; Develop promotional techniques and ideas for all home events, in efforts to enhance the fan experience for all 25 athletic programs; Work to create positive publicity for the academic achievements and community service initiatives of the Athletics Department; Proactively share story ideas on department-wide initiatives, student-athletes and teams with the campus body, alumni and community-at-large; Serve as department liaison for the Fan Council Committee; Assist with Abe’s Army; Coordinate and organize all community service events tied to the Athletic department; Work collaboratively with University Advancement on various projects and initiatives; Supervise and coordinate all athletic administration student-workers; Assist with coordination of the Athletics Marketing internship program; Other duties as assigned by Athletic Administration

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: 
LMU Athletics is looking for a graduate assistant with previous experience in athletics as a student-athlete or employee, strong written and verbal communication skills, creative and innovative ideas, organization, time management, and leadership skills. Experience with Adobe Photoshop and InDesign is preferred.

Qualifications: 

Candidates must be interested in pursuing a future athletic marketing or event management position. Bachelor’s degree required; Successful admission to the Master of Business Administration, Master of Science in Business Analytics, Master of Education or Master of Science in Criminal Justice graduate programs of the University; maintenance of satisfactory progress toward a graduate degree; letter of assignment as a graduate assistant signed by the President of the University.
