Job Description Summary
The primary responsibility of the Director of Undergraduate Admission Events and Marketing is to develop and execute an integrated marketing plan for undergraduate enrollment in close collaboration with the Marketing and Communications division. The Director manages the use of various channels in order to promote Bentley University's distinct position as an educational institution for leaders who set out to create positive change. The Director works collaboratively with the enrollment data team to interpret and analyze complex data to inform marketing strategy. The Director manages a team that is responsible for all electronic, web, and print communications in addition to creating special events for prospective students and other influencers to demonstrate the Bentley brand in action. The Director is expected to bring a high level of creativity, strategic thinking, and branding knowledge, as well as the ability to work successfully within a team-oriented environment.

Essential Duties
  • Coordinate the direction and work of the Undergraduate Admission Communications team (a cross-divisional team) to create both strategic and operational messaging to drive applications and ultimately enrollment. Monitor and test messaging for effectiveness and recommend changes to strategy to produce improved results throughout the recruiting cycle. Research and execute best practices for differentiating messages for various target populations (international, women, underrepresented minorities, transfer students). Responsible for managing the budget for communications-related expenses.
  • Lead the team that plans and delivers special events including (but not limited to) open houses, admitted student day, women's summit, diversity overnights, advisory board retreats and school counselor events. Recruit and coordinate community participation (faculty, staff, and students) and work with third party vendors, to deliver a unique experience that will clearly demonstrate the value of a Bentley education. Responsible for managing the special events budget.
  • Lead the effort to identify female prospects and increase enrollment of females through messaging, special events, and other creative means.
  • Create and implement new strategies for leveraging relationships with influencers (alumni, parents and school counselors).

Other Duties
  • Finalize admission and scholarship decisions as one of the “third-readers.” Ensure consistency in final decisions and change decisions where necessary to achieve enrollment goals.
  • Perform other admission-related activities including some file review, presenting at information sessions and yield receptions. Serve as officer of the day, if needed.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree plus 10+ years of related experience.
  • Demonstrated excellence in organizational, managerial, leadership, communication and presentation skills.
  • Expertise in best practices in marketing to prospective students and other influencers.
