OVERVIEW: Founded in 1974, Public Responsibility in Medicine and Research (PRIM&R) is a nonprofit organization based in Boston’s historic Back Bay. We are dedicated to advancing the highest ethical standards in the conduct of research; accomplishing this through education, membership services, professional certification, public policy initiatives, and community building. RESPONSIBILITIES: The Marketing and Communications/Certification Assistant plays a key role in supporting both the marketing and communications team and the certification program. Duties include but are not limited to:

 

  • Writes, edits, and produces marketing content and materials for email, print, and web, including producing all communication for the certification programs
  • Supports external exhibiting activities; this includes tracking planned events, processing paperwork for attendance, compiling and shipping materials, and ensuring appropriate exhibition visitor follow-up is performed
  • Researches and maintains contacts on PRIM&R's mailing lists
  • Serves as front-line customer service for inquiries about PRIM&R’s certification programs as part of the organization’s customer service team, and assists with other team responsibilities as needed (answers phones, processes registrations and memberships, monitors primr.org email inboxes, etc.)
  • Coordinates the review process for all recertification by continuing education applications
  • Provides support and meeting logistics for the Certification Committee of PRIM&R’s Board of Directors and the external volunteer CIP and CPIA Councils, including organizing conference calls, annual meetings, and serving as a liaison to the PRIM&R office
  • Assists with web tickets and event preparation as needed

QUALIFICATIONS: The ideal candidate will have excellent writing, editing, and organizational skills and be detail oriented. Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite, web design/HTML, CMS software (such as Salesforce) and marketing programs (such as Higher Logic’s RealMagnet, Constant Contact, Mailchimp) is helpful but not required.

Additional Salary Information: PRIM&R offers a competitive, full benefits package (medical, dental, 401k, paid time off, flexible work schedule, telecommuting, summer hours, commuter support, etc.). We are within walking distance to several transportation options, the Public Garden, and a variety of restaurants. This is a full-time position. The salary is commensurate with experience.
