Job Type/Schedule:

This position is full-time and works approximately 37.5 hours per week.  



Essential Functions:

POSITION SUMMARY:

Create, develop, manage and evaluate marketing and communications strategies and initiatives that enhance Olin’s brand awareness and reputation in key markets and drive success of program objectives.

Develop strong partnerships with Olin Recruitment, Admissions and Financial Services to have a deep understanding of all programs offerings. Working in concert with the programs’ goals to create and develop a strategic marketing and communications plan and then manage and evaluate marketing and communications strategies and initiatives against defined targets. All activities will enhance Olin’s brand awareness and reputation not just in key markets of business but across the national and globe, and ultimately drive success of online program offerings overall.

Specific brands include:

  • Online MBA.
  • Online Specialized Masters in Business Analytics (Customer Analytics, FinTech and Accounting Analytics).
  • Online Specialized Masters in Finance.
  • Online Specialized Masters in Accounting.
  • Other online programs offerings – degree and non-degree.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Strategic Thinking: Develop comprehensive understanding of the programs’ strategy, market demographics and psychographics, brand promise, competitive and other environmental issues, and other factors that drive success of each of the different brands within his or her portfolio.
  2. Marketing Planning: Use that comprehensive, strategic understanding of their brands in conjunction with primary and secondary research to develop exceptional strategic marketing plans with an appropriate marketing mix for each of the brands in their portfolio. In partnership with internal program customers, leads the development of recommended annual marketing plan, development of success metrics and budget. Provide effective and respected marketing counsel to internal customers with respect to all channels and corresponding impact.
  3. In concert with program leadership, collaborate with internal program partners to responsibly manage annual marketing budget according to approved priorities by that partner.��
  4. Execution Leadership: Lead and manage execution of successful marketing campaigns and initiatives associated with the annual marketing plan, including development of all collateral, web content and presence, direct mail, advertising, events, promotions, digital, social media and other marketing. Ensure that marketing efforts meet the needs of the target audiences while maintaining consistent message, tone and style.
  5. Project Management: Serve as a project manager, coordinating team support for writing, design, proofing, production, gathering brand assets (photography, etc.), and attending press checks. Utilize the creative process, including creative and project briefs to ensure campaigns and initiatives that are effective in reaching program objectives.


Required Qualifications:
  • College degree. 
  • Five years of experience in marketing or brand management, including proven experience leading high-impact strategic marketing planning, campaign development, to market execution and media planning and placement.
  • Proven experience in developing, facilitating or coordinating advertising creative, including keen creative eye and strong appreciation for the creative process.
  • Demonstrated experience working with or for ad agencies to develop advertising. 


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in marketing, public relations, communications advertising or commensurate work experience is desired.
  • Experience online higher education industry is a plus.



Salary Range:

The hiring range for this position is $62,010 - $83,972 annually.

This position is in the Department of Marketing & Communications.  This position is for the Danforth Campus in the Olin Business School.
