The College of Education, Criminal Justice, and Human Services (CECH) is seeking a Marketing and Promotions Coordinator to join our team! CECH is dedicated to making a difference in our communities through outreach, academic programs, and community partnerships. Our students and faculty work side-by-side with teachers, athletic trainers, community wellness experts, intervention specialists, and law enforcement officials, because we value experiential learning as an important element of our degree programs. Current research is incorporated into every course to ensure our graduates are prepared to address the most urgent challenges of our society.
Under general supervision of the Assistant Director of Marketing and Publications, this person is responsible for the development/implementation of social media content, branding design, content management, and creating/overseeing all graphic design needs. Ideally, this person will be a hybrid of a Graphic Designer and a Marketing Coordinator.
In addition, this candidate must possess the competencies of being a team collaborator, have good time management skills, positive work ethic, self-starter, ability to meet deadlines, effective communicator, ability to work with various units and departments, work in a fast-paced environment, and can also work independently and efficiently.
Create all design needs for the college according to UC branding standards, as well as provide and create visuals for marketing campaigns, college publications, and special events. Experience in creating graphic designs using the Adobe Creative Suites software, which includes InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop required.
Illustrates concept by designing rough layout of art and copy regarding arrangement, size, type size and style, and related aesthetic concepts.
Designs include web pages, brochures, logos, signs, books, magazine covers, annual reports, advertisements, and other communication materials.
Responsible for supporting, creating, developing and executing various marketing projects related to corporate branding, marketing collateral, email, web, and social media.
Assist in developing marketing plans that will increase program awareness and enrollment of various programs within the college
Create highly-compelling visual assets for social platforms that maximize engagement with followers and communicate/amplify the organization's priority messages.
Have some understanding of content management, SEO writing, writing for email campaigns, and website management.
Liaison with vendors for quotes on assigned projects
Understand how to generate and analyze market data for different student populations to support marketing strategies and program growth.
Heavy graphic design experience using Adobe Creative Suites
Experience in developing a social media strategy and editorial calendar to promote college events and efforts.
Experience in creating marketing plans
Bachelor's degree with three (3) years experience; -OR- Associate's degree with five (5) years experience; -OR- seven (7) years experience. Degree must be in Communications, Education, Graphic Arts, Liberal Arts, Marketing or a related field. Experience must be in development and implementation of marketing and advertising plans. Experience may also require at least one (1) year supervision.
