Director, Medicare Marketing Operations This individual will be responsible for facilitating cross-functional marketing automation technologies and driving standardization and efficiency in marketing communications development in support of the phases of the Medicare consumer lifecycle – Acquisition> Onboarding> Engagement> Renewal. The scope of programs can be multi-year, multi-function, and across multiple brands and states.

Primary duties may include:
Overseeing the evaluation, management, improvement, and/or introduction of new vendor technologies including composition, translations, 508-remediation, and ordering platforms.
Managing automation process efficiencies with the Translation Management System (TMS) and vendors.
Developing and implementing business process improvement to establish new vendor strategies and achieve optimal savings for the Company.
Staying abreast of and utilizes emerging technology to achieve efficiencies and administrative savings.
Leading consultation services associated with producing Marketing collateral, materials, and services.
Partnering with business-unit specific marketing management, member communications, B2B communications, and marketing planning and strategy to implement large-scale projects and process changes, which leverage marketing automation technologies.
Identifying opportunities to improve the distribution of resources across the department with a disciplined project management approach.
Assessing and handling large data sets, and identifies and drives areas of standardization and efficiency.
Developing and documenting program definition. Ensuring all requirements are met. Creating and managing detailed project plans, budgets & timelines to deliver Medicare's communications to the market. Communicating program status to leadership, and identifying and escalating risks.
Communicating automation strategy and roadmap to business partners and coordinating with other functional areas across the business.
Assisting with the development of annual departmental budget and tracks monthly year-to-date budget status, and preparation of departmental statistics.
Developing and implementing metrics to report and monitor progress against goals and implements changes to effect improvement, and/or reacts to a change in the organization or industry.
Leading RFP initiatives (automation, creative, multimedia, etc.).
Supporting the digital strategic vision and roadmap and priorities and ensuring the team and vendors are aligned with vision and strategy.
Providing leadership and direction to a team of Medicare document-automation-experts knowledgeable of State regulations and CMS Medicare Communications and Marketing Guidelines (MCMGs): hiring, training, coaching, counseling, and evaluation of direct reports.
Identifying and resolving strategic issues that may impair the ability of their direct reports to meet goals.
Understanding product, business, and competitive landscape. Recommending changes and adjustments to processes to increase program effectiveness.
Coordinating across Marketing with consumer journey phases to ensure continuity of experience. Collaborating with department leadership and account management team and project vendors.
Demonstrated ability in operational/organizational leadership, working across the matrix, and effectively leading a team.
Experience delivering effective solutions and delivering business value.
Ability to develop strong cross-functional relationships using a collaborative approach.
Medicare and/or Medicaid experience.
Excellent analytical, negotiation, and presentation abilities.
Excellent managerial and change-management leadership skills.
Requires a BA/BS degree in a related field; 7-10 years of experience in directing technical marketing projects, implementation processes and teams and data analysis and reporting in health-care and/or federal regulatory environment including 3-5 years of management experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
