Portfolio Marketing Manager (2001500) - Research Triangle Park, NC
Where the Chemistry Happens
The Portfolio Marketing Manager is responsible for managing US Crop portfolio strategy and execution of key portfolio-related business decisions, incl. private label agreements, technology licensing, divestments and other optimization/rationalization efforts. This role will collaborate with Global and Regional units in Marketing, Supply Planning and R&D to ensure business alignment and secure sales of portfolio assets in US Crop. Total value of managed portfolio will exceed $250M. This role will also lead interaction with major distributor customers on all private label and technical AI sales. The role supports: 1) The management and maintenance of existing commercial contracts; 2) The preparation and analysis for business case development and negotiations; 3) Supporting third party contract negotiations; and 4) Aligning internal functions on key negotiation topics with Legal, Supply Chain, Regulatory, Manufacturing, Formulations, Commercial Operations and Finance (esp. helping manage corporate idle costs). This role requires strong business acumen, ability to manage complexity, in a high paced environment to effectively deliver, and experience in customer facing interactions.
Formula for Success
Bachelor's degree required in a business-related discipline or MBA
Minimum 10 years' experience in B2B sales, including negotiation and contract management, and/or portfolio management
Preferred experience in finance, business modelling and business analysis
Complex project management
Experience working at a fast pace in cross functional teams
Experience in the agricultural products, crop protection or chemical industry is a plus
Highly analytical with strong business acumen to analyze data, information to translate the output into usable information
Ability to collaborate and manage the needs of multiple stakeholders and multiple in-flight projects and/or requests
Excellent people and communication skills
Strong organizational skills, project management skills and process-orientation to execute reporting requests; keen attention to detail
