St. Margaret’s School is seeking a Marketing Specialist to join its team. This individual will be a member of the Advancement team, reporting to the Assistant Head of School for External Affairs. Primary Responsibilities and Duties are as follows:
Prepare and order invitations for events, coordinate logistics including serving as primary contact for venues, and ensure all events are executed consistent with the appearance and brand of St. Margaret’s School.
Track marketing data, maintain collateral materials inventory, maintain marketing databases and prepare reports as needed.
Write articles, newsletters, press releases, create letters to parents, donors and students at the direction of Leadership; work on the layout of newsletters and publications.
Ensure that St. Margaret’s is visible in selected social media channels. Responsibilities would include preparation of photos and videos, editing of videos, creation of posts and content for student life activities and events.
Work with portal partners such as niche.com, Boarding School Review, TABS and FindingSchool.com; handle administrative responsibilities to ensure messages and brand meet standards.
Leverage and maintain library of collateral materials and prepare new/updated flyers and programs for school events. This individual will also serve as the primary liaison with external marketing firms and vendors to support campaigns and programs.
Maintain and manage Marketing calendar for school; serve as primary point of contact for Work Orders.
Accomplishes organizational goals by accepting ownership for accomplishment of new and different requests.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business administration or a related field.
3 - 5 years of experience in marketing.
Strong organizational and project management skills, as well as attention to detail.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as outstanding copywriting and proofreading skills.
Firm grasp on various marketing platforms, channels and best practices, including social, digital and email marketing.
Self-starter and able to independently move projects forward, prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
Strong analytical skills to analyze metrics and create reports; previous experience leveraging marketing analytics
Familiarity with social media platforms (i.e. Hootsuite) preferred
High level of creativity
Proficiency in Adobe Design Suite
Appreciation for the Earned Media value of Brand Enhancement and Public Relations
Must be willing and available to attend weekend and evening school programs and events
Housing may be an option
This individual will be expected to become an integral member of the St. Margaret’s community and rotation in residential and weekend duty will be expected.
