The University of North Georgia is currently accepting applications for a Marketing Manager for the Mike Cottrell College of Business on the Dahlonega campus.The Marketing Manager will report to the Dean of the College and works closely with University Relations to oversee messaging, positioning and identity branding for the MCCB programs and activities. This position interacts with faculty, staff, students, and external stakeholders, including advisory boards, business leaders, and alumni.

The Marketing Manager will:
Manage development of a comprehensive and integrated marketing plan to promote the MCCB mission and vision in alignment with UNG University Relations’ overall marketing plan for UNG.
Create and distribute innovative and effective communication collateral focused on developing rich content for use across a variety of media channels.
Build brand awareness and positioning designed to build reputation, increase graduate enrollments, attract undergraduate students, increase media presence, and enhance fundraising.
Develop a digital marketing strategy, including appropriate analytics, to provide a positive user experience for a variety of key audiences (e.g., prospective students, current students, employers, donors, and alumni), with a special emphasis on building a strong web presence and social media community.
Manage external consultants and/or contractors in the design and development of marketing materials and communications requiring outsourcing.
Serve as liaison for media contacts and development of press releases in close collaboration with University Relations.
Coordinate and assist with guest speakers, conferences, and other internal and externally-focused events, including evaluating and reporting on their success
Design and implement market research studies based on the needs of the College.
Direct the hiring, training, and performance of marketing student interns
Must have knowledge of contemporary integrated marketing strategies, current marketing trends and platforms, including digital marketing;
Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
Exceptional design, art direction, and creative direction skills, including use of relevant design software such as Adobe Creative Suite;
Mastery of analytical tools used to determine the effectiveness of marketing programs, including but not limited to social media and Google analytics;
Excellent project management skills and the ability to work effectively with outside vendors;
Ability to think strategically about marketing the College while being able to execute the plans in targeted and on-time manner;
Ability to be an effective storyteller;
Record of highly creative and effective product development across multiple platforms;
Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with colleagues, constituents and stakeholders;
Ability to plan and execute successful events.
Bachelors degree in integrated communications, marketing, or a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience. Masters degree preferred.
At least 5 years in a marketing, creative services or a related role, preferably in higher education and/or other mission-driven organizations
Experience with special event planning, promotion and logistics.
Finalists for the position will need to submit their portfolio that includes at least three writing samples and three samples of their recent creative projects. The creative projects can be submitted as a pdf or a web link.
