TCU Athletics is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Athletics Video Production Graduate Assistant. The position, housed in the Athletics Digital Brand Strategy department, assists with the videography and editing for video production projects as assigned ranging from in-house produced sports television shows to live television production for big screen events at TCU Athletics venues, in addition to multipurpose video content such as video features, highlight videos, hype videos, graphics video elements, hall of fame videos, live streamed and on-demand content.
This position will support live athletics video productions by serving on either video board crews or collecting footage, and will have the option to travel to events. This position will also help to maintain a first-class student work force by teaching best-in-class techniques for shooting, editing, and producing content utilizing both linear and nonlinear systems.
Applicants should have completed a bachelor’s degree in video/film production, journalism or related field and a minimum of one year of experience working in a collegiate athletics department. Must be willing to work weekends and log office hours during the week. Must have a good attitude, be self-motivated, a self-starter and have a dedicated work ethic. Must be able to work in a team environment.
Applicants selected for the position must be admitted into or in the process of applying for TCU Graduate Program. Assistants must be enrolled in a minimum of six graduate school hours in the fall and spring semesters with the expectation of graduating in two years. Compensation includes full tuition, online course fees, books and a monthly room and board stipend. This is a two-year assistantship.
