Essential Job Duties:
The Director of Client Services and Marketing Strategy oversees a team aimed at developing and initiating marketing communications planning, strategy and initiatives for clients across campus.
Primary duties include, but are not limited to:
Taking on a key role in creating a new marketing planning process services for UCOMM's partner/clients.
Developing marketing plans for colleges, divisions, and other major university entities;
Overseeing professional marketing staff
Participating as a member of UCOMM leadership team;
Taking a key role in the creation of NC State's first centrally administered Marketing and Communications Plan.
Leading monthly staff meetings to foster cross-team collaboration.
Implementing new analytics and tracking processes to help UCOMM measure success and stay up to date on projects and trends;
Instituting processes for helping to track and maintain budget projections.
Overseeing major marketing and communications projects and initiatives for key client/partners;
Developing and maintaining client contact processes for projects;
Other duties as assigned.
Bachelor’s degree and three years of experience in the area of assignment, of which at least one is supervisory or in a lead-worker capacity; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
Hands on experience in creative project management including serving as lead project manager for multiple projects, with experience in digitally delivered and web projects
Ability to prioritize multiple high-level projects with complex milestones and varying timelines;
Effective interpersonal skills and a proven track record of establishing and maintaining internal and external relationships;
Demonstrated leadership, training and mentoring abilities;
Working knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite environment on the Mac platform;
A proven track record of vendor management including selecting and coordinating freelance talent and outside agencies
Prior creative project management experience of at least three years that includes web project management.
Demonstrated experience with developing and implementing customer journeys with Salesforce Marketing Cloud or similar automated marketing system.
Must have direct supervisory experience of at least two years.
Prefer a Bachelor's degree in design, web technology, marketing or communications with five years experience or equivalent project management experience of ten years.
