Ciclismo Classico is seeking a VP of Marketing and Sales Director to manage our USA Marketing and Sales operations in Arlington, MA.
The VP of Marketing & Sales accomplishes business development activities by researching and developing marketing plans, implementing sales plans, and managing our team towards optimal performance.
By focusing on new customer acquisition and maximizing lead conversion through digital and non-digital channels, you are the key player leading and managing our annual growth objectives. Using key marketing channels (events, SEO, organic search ranking, referrals, PR, social media platforms, Google Analytics) and industry partnerships, you will grow our lead generation and the brand presence of our 30-year Ciclismo Classico brand. You will report to and work directly with the CEO.
You'll direct and manage key vendors for all marketing and sales activities, including more traditional marketing like brochures and direct mail. You’ll have a creative eye that guarantees that our brand visually rocks above the rest. You will manage a small marketing team (partners and vendors) towards high productivity and ROI and interact with the sales team and Ciclismo ambassadors to ensure that leads convert.
You'll travel and bicycle to beautiful places, experience our Ciclismo tours and meet our wonderful guests. You’ll experience at least one Ciclismo Classico bicycle tour annually, network with our cycling and travel vendors, be involved with fun cycling events and be promoting a "product" that is transforming lives and making the world a better place, one pedal stroke at a time! Our working environment is casual, supports cycling to work and taking ride breaks on the Minute Man bike path, three blocks away.
Accomplishes marketing and sales human resource objectives by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing job contributions; planning and reviewing compensation actions; enforcing policies and procedures.
Achieves marketing and sales operational objectives by contributing marketing and sales information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing action plans; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; completing audits; identifying trends; determining system improvements; implementing change.
Meets marketing and sales financial objectives by forecasting requirements; preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.
Together with the CFO, determines annual and gross-profit plans by forecasting and developing annual sales quotas, projecting expected sales volume and profit for existing and new products; analyzing trends and results; establishing pricing strategies; recommending selling prices; monitoring costs, competition, supply, and demand.
Accomplishes marketing and sales objectives by planning, developing, implementing, and evaluating advertising, merchandising, and promotion programs; developing action plans, monitoring remote agents.
Identifies marketing opportunities by focusing on precise customer demographics, defining market, competitor's share, and competitor's strengths and weaknesses; forecasting projected business; establishing targeted market share.
With the CEO, improves product marketability and profitability by researching, identifying, and capitalizing on market opportunities; improving product “packaging”; coordinating new product development.
Sustains rapport with key VIP customers by in-person meetings, exploring specific needs; anticipating new opportunities.
Provides information by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends.
Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential.
Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
Accomplishes marketing and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
